Ola Cabs - Charged Wrongly For Outstation Trip Complaint Rating:
Had a HORRIBLE experience with Olacabs today for booking no CRN 597164767. The booking was for a outstation trip from Mumbai to Pune (1 day round trip). Olacabs confirmed the booking at 4:00 pm, 4th March, sent the driver details 1 hour prior to the boarding time along with a notification that the driver would pick us up at 4 pm from Mumbai and 4 pm on the next day from Pune.
It was a 24 hour package, and the estimate as per the locations I put was 3200 for close to 282 kms (excluding toll). There wasn't a delay in the pickup and drop and the driver was extremely courteous. When I reached Mumbai today at around 6:09 pm, I was charged exorbitant rates i.e. 5877 Rs. When inquired by calling the customer care rep, I was told by Mr. Mayanak (Supervisor) that I had exceeded the 24 hour travel and charged for the extra 2 hours however they do give a buffer of 1 hour.
First of all, as intimated by your notification, the driver picked us up at 4 pm respectively on both the days and the delay was not fromm our side.
Secondly, they did mention on their app that extra charges may be applicable in case we exceed hours. I understand that you may charge a substantial fee however, Olacabs has charged me 1 day complete base fare (Rs. 2499 approx) + 250 (allowance for the driver). This wasn't mentioned anywhere in the OLA app or communicated via msg as well.
Also, they have charged me for 325 Kms. The excess Kms have been used by the driver as he had gone to his relatives place to stay. How can you charge the customer for the usage done by your drivers?
Mr. CEO, request you to take notice of how customers are being fooled by Olacabs with incorrect information and charged like crazy for no reason. Really disappointed with the services and would any day recommend Uber over Olacabs.
Guys, would request to share it as much as possible so that other customers are well educated before trusting such companies.
