My laptop was working perfectly till lenovo companion software updated. Post the update brightness got stuck at highest level. On complaint lenovo shared VGA driver updates which I downloaded and tried to install. During installation, the screen blacked out and I took the laptop to their dadar service center. At the time I was informed that OS has crashed due to virus in software and needs to be rebooted. Since then multiple emails and complaints later, Lenovo asked me to download a recovery media but when the download failed due to an erroneous link, they asked me to purchase the OS despite being eligible for a recovery media. Lenovo is neither replying nor commenting on their virus laden software updates and faulty recovery media links.
