ICICI Bank - Personal Loan Complaint Rating:   

I have been told that I will be charged an interest rate of maximum 15.99 for the personal loan amount of Rs.130000. I was made to sign the agreement. But then they called and said that the interest rate sanctioned was 16.99 to which they were told not to disburse the amount.But they credited the amount and when they were asked to cancel the loan they stated that I will have to pay the cancellation charges. They said as a third party is involved in the verification process and it had costed them so they would take the charges from me. On repeated requests, I agreed to keep the sum and they said that they will see to it that I get a waiver in the interest rate after 6 months. But in the welcome letter that I received after all this conversation quotes an interest rate of 17.99. I have landed into a serious problem. But I have the recording of the conversation with one of their employees where he has agreed to all that I stated above.
