I own a credit card of hdfc bank which is registered in my previous rental address.now my card is going to expire in June 2017. for this reason I have been trying to get my address changed for the past 06 months. each time I place a request it gets rejected because of signature mismatch.finally in the month of May I contacted the local bank authorities and with their knowledge I again submitted the request alongwith my signature attested on the photocopy of my Pancard. again it got rejected and when i write to the customer services department they insist on me submitting a signature mismatch form wherein I have to fill up my previous and present signatures.when I write to them about me not remembering the signature I made in their documents 7 year back,they still don't provide me an alternative and keep on insisting on the earlier stated demands. i even contacted the local bank authorities both credit cards and savings bank but none could give me a valid answer to help me and to that extent some people were hostile enough to even listen and help.i spoke to the kolkata authorities too but they also said they cannot help and asked me to go to the local chandrasekharpur branch who again could not do anything as they had a link problem.now is it really necessary for a customer to go through such harassments for the sake of a trivial address change that needs to be made in the system for communication purposes only. is it not the responsibility of the bank authorities to simplify and help the customer instead of being hostile. now who should be held responsible for the physical harassments and the mental agony that I am facing or is the whole thing very much justified?
