Bharti Airtel Ltd - Non Refund Of Paid Sum For Number Portability Which Is Supposed To Be Free Complaint Rating:
I applied for a new Airtel connection in December 2016 and since there was an option for a home delivery service I opted for that. I had a number portability issue from Tata Docomo to Airtel and was told there will be a charge of RS.250/- that is refundable in the third billing cycle. however the person came without a receipt book and that was fishy in itself. I got him to sign on a piece of paper for my peace of mind but the three months are up and there is no sign of the money. When Airtel contacted me and I mentioned about the money, after they looked it up on their system they said it was not showing up. They asked me to contact the person involved. It's interesting that when companies want to sell you something they appear to have your interest at heart and then conveniently wash their hands off the issue. There was constant harassment from Airtel about collecting address proof, verification and what not and now not a sound.
