Please look into the matter. Feeling pretty helpless as a consumer.
I had bought this laptop from amazon. And when i opened the package, the seal was broken. Then i noticed that one of the pixels on the display was malfunctioning. No matter what colour the display is showing, that one paticular pixel is always showing green light. Then later i wanted to talk to my sister in london, then i discovered that the webcam is also not working. I emailed amazon that they have delivered me a defective product but they are replying saying sir 10 days have passed. I told them that if i have paid full 1,85,000 rs for the laptop, i want a fresh, new, sealed and fully functional product. But they are continuously saying that 10 days have passed so i need to take it to the service centre. My point is, that if i have paid so much for the laptop, why should i run to the service centre ? why should i use a repaired product ? i had placed the order on 13th august and i had got the delivery on 16th august. I had sent them the email on 28th august only. Please explain to me their return and refund policy. For example - if they have sent me a product and if i dont open the package for a month for whatever reason, they can get away with selling me a brick ? Just coz i couldnt find the defects on the first 10 days, coz i was hardly using the laptop,it means i'll have to keep this laptop that is defective right out of the box ? Amazon is on a continuous loop saying that 10 days have passed. Please look into this matter. I have attached 2 pictures . 1 is my order summary and the 2nd one is a newspaper cutout where the courts have given the judgement that its amazon's responsibilty to deliver the product in totally working and perfect condition. I had opted for cloudtail pvt ltd as the seller which is the joint venture of amazon and narayana murthy( infosys's founder ). So its amazon only. They only have sold me this product and not someother third party seller.So is it not their responsibility to deliver a fresh, new, sealed and fully functional product and if the product is defective, either replace aur refund ?
